Description

German chocolate producer Hachez will probably cut 99 out of 355 jobs in Bremen in the first half of 2016. The number of the job reduction is still uncertain and the management is currently negotiating with the works council. According to the company, the planned job reduction is a result of unfavourable market conditions at least party due to strong price competition. Moreover, the firm needs to invest in new machines and renew their infrstructure.

Hachez is a German chocolate products manufacturer from Bremen. The company was founded in 1890 and is headquartered in the centre of Bremen. Currently, 355 employees are working for Hachez.

Update (22/01/2016): Hachez had already announced to cut jobs in November 2015 (99 jobs) and revised the numbers now slightly at the beginning of 2016. After negotiations with the works council the company confirmed the reduction of 89 jobs. This is the company's second restructuring after the takeover of the Danish Toms-Group.
