Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Pilkington Automotive Poland, a manufacturer of automobile windshields and windows, announced the creation of 400 new jobs at its plant in Chmielów (Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone). The company has invested PLN 500mn (EUR 117.37mn USD 126.76mn) to expand the factory. This is the third stage of investments planned by NSG group in the period 2011-2015. In total, all stages of the investment will bring 1,500 jobs (800 on the first stage, 300 on the second, and 400 on the third). Pilkington Automotive belongs to NSG Group, which has been operating in Poland since 1993.
