Bosch Rexroth, a German engineering and electronics company and a subsidiary of Bosch, will cut a total of 1,150 jobs at six of its German sites by 2018. A total of 610 out of 1,150 jobs will be cut at its plant in Elchingen, one quarter of the plant's workforce (currently 2,470 employees work in Elchingen). Bosch Rexroth previously announced plans to reduce costs of up to €450 million. The above job cuts will be affect the company's mobile applications division. According to the company, these job reductions are a result of lower demand for its products worldwide.

In August 2015, the company announced its plan to cut 300 jobs at its plant in Horb. Further, in November 2014, it was announced that 580 jobs will be shed at the company's headquarters in Lohr am Main where currently 6,000 people are employed.
