Description
Coca Cola will close its production unit in Slovakia resulting in the loss of 107 employees. Coca Cola HBC Slovenská republika in Luka near Piestany, which operated in Slovakia for 20 years, will finish with production by 31 March 2016 and all 107 employees will be dismissed. Within 330 km of the factory there are six Coca Cola production units, and the closure is attributed to cost optimisation. Redundant employees will receive standard severance pay. Those who stay till the end of March will participate in activities related to the closure and will receive additional severance pay equal to four months of wages.
