European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The media group TMG is closing its printing company in Alkmaar and reducing printing capacity in Amsterdam, resulting in the loss of 168 jobs. The company has stated it will refocus its activities from printing to information provision due to the rapidly changing media landscape and the growing importance of digital media in relation to printed materials. Part of the printing work will be outsourced to external parties. The company currently employs 250 people.
