Description
Sodexo is cutting its staff in catering services for the petroleum industry, dismissing 50 employees. In previous rounds of restructuring, the company has so far dismissed 90 permanent and 30 temporary employees. Mostly chefs and cleaning personnel will be affected. The employees mostly work offshore and live at various locations in Norway. The cuts will be made by direct dismissals, severance packages will not be offered. The rationale for the restructuring is that the company has lost a lot of its business as their largest customers in the petroleum industry have also undergone restructuring and cut costs in the wake of the fall in crude oil prices.
