R Stahl, a German product, system and service provider for explosion protection, will cut at least 120 jobs by the end of this year in Waldenburg, Weimar and Cologne. About half of these job cuts will affect temporary workers. In addition, the company will cut another 105 out of 2,000 jobs worldwide with the aim of recude cost.

The company generates about half of its turnover from the oil and gas industry but these industries have been suffering from low oil prices and thus investments in these segments have been reduced.
