Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German-based Muhlbaer Technologies opened its new plant in industrial park Nitra Juh Dolne Krskany, creating 126 new jobs. The investment of €16 million will create 126 new jobs in new production plant in the next six months. The Company develops technologies for the manufacture of biometric ID cards, passports, smart bank cards and driving licences. Presently, it employs 300 workers in its nearby first plant established in 2009. All of production is exported abroad, mainly to the US, Malaysia or China, but the firm intends to supply the Slovak market as well.
