Description
The German toy company Cartronic decided to bring back production activities earlier offshored to its plant in China, due to the logistics costs. In the last years, the company developed a new technology for toys decoration; therefore, managers were fear of possible counterfeiting risk in transferring the new technology in China. As a consequence, in 2014, they decided to open a new plant in Nuremberg (Germany) investing around 4 million Euros. Manufacturing activities in the new plant has been started on February 2017 creating six new jobs. The relocation decision permitted the company to maintain high quality level, and to leverage on the "made-in Germany" effect.
