Description

Saab Training Systems, a developer and manufacturer of military education and training equipment, is to lay off 40 workers in Huskvarna, Sweden. According to a spokesperson, the reduction is due to the company receiving fewer orders than expected. Out of the 40 workers affected by the cuts, two are blue-collar workers and the rest are white-collar workers. Saab Training Systems currently has around 350 employees, but new facilities are being built to accommodate the staff and production of Saab Avionics and Combitech, currently operating in Jönköping. The move is expected to be completed by the end of 2016 and the plant in Huskvarna will then employ just over 600 workers.
