Brazil Embraco Company, leader in production of compressors for cooling systems, opened its centre for shared services in Kosice where up to 150 new jobs will be created.
The multinational Embraco has operated its production unit Embraco Slovakia (Spisska Nova Ves) since 1997 and is currently building a research unit in Kosice. According to a company spokesman, the company decided to develop its centre for shared services in Kosice because of the availability of an educated workforce and universities as well as a suitable time zone. Recently, centres for shared services were established in Kosice by other large companies including IBM, T-Systems and Ness.
