Tauron Wydobycie, a subsidiary of Tauron Polska Energia group, has announced that it will cut 200 jobs via a voluntary dismissal programme. The company has signed a bilateral agreement with the local trade unions setting out the conditions of the dismissal procedures.
The programme will be implemented from 6th May until 15th October 2015. Its aim is to optimise  employment capacity to adjust it to the current and anticipated market situation. Currently, Tauron Wydobycie employs approx. 5,800 people in two facilities located in Libiąż and Jaworzno. Tauron Polska Energia is one of the largest groups in the energy sector.
Update (09/11/2015): Tauron Wydobycie has announced that 129 employees entered the voluntary dismissal programme (initially this number was estimated at 200).
