Description

Japan Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems subsidy, SEWS Slovakia, closed its plant in Topolčany. The company notified the mass dismissal of all 398 employees to the local labour office. According to SEWS Slovakia CEO, Mike Lawson, the decision is attributed to price competition and difficulties to keep production costs under control. Production activities will be offshored to Romania.
