Description

Energy management company Schneider Electric invested about EUR 10 million into a new Lexel factory in Latvia. 100 new employees has been hired from January 2015 to April 2015, and more employees were to be  hired by the end of 2015. According to Santa Rutka, representative of the company, total number of hired employees may reach 450 by the end of 2015.

The company looks for employees with technical knowledge in producing of electronic devices. The company offers 150 jobs for quality and methodological engineers, operators of production lines, technicians of electronics, as well as 15 - 20 jobs for mid level managers.

The Lexel Fabrika belongs to the international corporation Schneider Electric and specialises in manufacturing electric-mechanical and electronic devices, including lighting control systems, thermostats, motion detectors, smoke detectors and light switches. The majority of Lexel Fabrika products are exported to Scandinavia and Germany, supplying other Schneider Electricfactories with produce.

The company operates in Latvia since 1993, and in 2014 employed 180 employees. Lexel Fabrika turnover in 2013, was EUR 38.2 million.
