Description

Caterpillar Global Mining Czech Republic (previously Bastro), a subsidiary of American multinational Caterpillar, has announced more than 200 dismissals and a termination of production at its Ostrava site by the end of 2015. The reason cited is an increasing competition in the market. The production of mining equipment is to be relocated/outsourced to China.
