Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
ABB Bulgaria plans to create up to 200 new job positions at its factory in Rakovski (Plovdiv region), Bulgaria by the end of 2015. ABB established a representative office in Bulgaria in 1988 and at present has five sites in Bulgaria (Sofia, Petrich, Rakovski, Sevlievo and Varna). The two productions plants in Rakovski specialise in low and medium voltage electrical equipment. The head office is located in Sofia, the site in Petrich specialises in low voltage products, the one in Sevlievo produces high voltage products, while a turbocharger service station is located in Varna. ABB [ASEA Brown Boveri], is a multinational corporation headquartered in Zurich and a global leader in power and automation technology. The company has a presence in more than 100 countries, employing more than 140,000 worldwide with a revenue in 2014 amounting to $40 bn.
