Description

Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has announced that it will  create 500 temporary positions in its site at Onnaing. Two third of the employees are already employed and will see their contract extended. One third, about 166, will be hired by September on 18 months long temporary work contracts. No former experience or qualifications are needed. The new employees will receive 3 to 4 weeks training. The aim is to increase the production of the Yaris model from 933 cars per day to 1,000. The site, which employs 3,728 employees including 3,082 on permanent employment contract, should recover its workforce level from before the crisis of 2008. Toyota has previously expanded its workforce in this site in 2011 and 2014.
