French  industrial cylinder company Vallourec is to cut 550 jobs it in France in the framework of the global restructuring plan announced in April 2015. The plan will lead globally to 2,000 jobs cut over the next two years. The announced job cuts represent almost 10 per cent of the company’s global workforce.

All French plants will be affected by the cuts; Vallourec hopes to avoid forced redundancies through natural departures. The main job cuts will affected Vallourec's headquarters in Boulogne-Billancourt (60 jobs), the Aulnoye-Aymeries plant (100 jobs), Déville-lès-Rouen ( 100 cuts on a total of 350) and Saint-Saulve (50 cuts)
