German furniture company Nolte Möbel will cut 164 ouf of 630 jobs in Germersheim. According to the company this job reduction which corresponds to a quarter of current employees becoming redundant is due to overcapacity, cost and price pressure. While 19 staff members will leave the company in mutual consent, the remaining employees have the option to change to a transition company. According to newspaper reports, a total of 180 have been made redundant by Nolte Möbel since 2011.
Nolte Möbel is a 1955 founded German manufacturer of cabinet and bedroom furniture based in Germersheim in Rhineland-Palatinate. The company belongs to the Nolte Group.
