Description
Facebook is adding 100 positions to its European headquarters in Dublin. The new roles are in user operations, safety and advertising. These jobs will bring Facebook's employee headcount in Dublin to 1000.
The company has also announced plans to develop a new data centre in nearby Co Meath. According to the Irish Independent, the mild Irish climate is suitable for data-centre operations and some multinationals are also strengthening their presence in this area in Ireland in advance of European Court of Justice rulings likely to tighten rules on Europe-US data transfers.
