Description

On 1st June 2015 the Commercial Court of Paris announced the bankruptcy of the Manoir foundry based in Custines. The company is a subsidiary of the Chinese group Yantai Taihai. The site, which employed 187 workers, had a cumulative loss of 13 million euros.

The management board has provided 2 million euros to guarantee employees' severance payments. The employees led by Bruno Colin, the company's engineer, hope to create a cooperative, which would enable the rehiring of 70 employees.
