European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
International steel and mining company ArcelorMittal is to create 280 new jobs in France by 2015. The company will recruit 180 employees in its site at Dunkerque (Nord), 30 in Grande-Synthe (Nord), 5 in Desvres, near Boulogne-sur-Mer (Pas-de-Calais), 35 in its site at Florange (Moselle), 10 in Mouzon near Sedan (Ardennes), 15 in Montataire near Creil (Oise) and 5 in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique). The new employees will be skilled workers and the company expect to increase its steel production from 6.6 million tons to 7 million in Dunkerque in 2017.
ArcelorMittal recruited 700 employees in 2014 (see ERM FS) and 600 in 2013 in France. In 2012, ERM reported a restructuring event involving a job reduction measure (see ERM FS) at its manufacturing site in Florange (Moselle).
