Description

The German bakery chain Max Lang intends to cut 109 jobs and close 18 branches. The company currently has 550 employees and runs 146 branches. 45 out of the 109 jobs will be cut at the headquarters in Freiberg. The remaining 64 jobs will be cut at various branches in Baden-Wurttemberg. The redundancies will be carried out for operational reasons. The bakery filed for insolvency in January 2015 due to rising competition on the bakery market.
