Description
Jysk is a Danish producer of furniture which generally outsources its production. In the last years, it is increasing the amount of production requested to European contractors. In 2017, it decided to move some of its outsourced production from China to Eastern Europe, and chose among others Polish suppliers. The company declared the following motivations for its relocation decision: a) rising costs in Asia, b) availability of automated production systems at the Polish contractors, and c) vicinity to European customers who accept to pay higher prices to receive quicker delivery.
