Description
The Norwegian dairy company Tine is reducing its staff in support functions with about 110 positions in 2015. In addition, 15 employees at the company’s dairy at Hafslund were dismissed as the facility was closed 1 March 2014. The downsizing of support staff will be completed by the end of 2015, as a part of a broader effort in Tine to cut costs by NOK 750 million (€75 million as at December 2014) this year. The whole organisation will be affected by the restructuring programme. At the time of the announcement, the number of direct dismissals and jobs to be cut by other measures was yet to be determined. The company's management does not rule out that similar downsizing measures may be used in other parts of the company at a later stage.
