Car parts manufacturer TRW has announced plans to create 130 new jobs at its site on the Rainton Bridge Industrial Estate in Sunderland.
The jobs have been created in part due to a 1.95 million GBP grant from the Regional Growth Fund, which has funded an extension to the company's premises. The extension is due to be complete later this year with recruitment scheduled for the second half of 2015. The news of the new jobs comes as Lear also announced job creation on the same industrial estate.
TRW is an American global supplier of automotive systems, modules and components to automotive original equipment manufacturers .TRW manufactures car steering systems which aim to reduce carbon emissions.
