Description
UK’s largest builders’ merchants Travis Perkins has announced plans to open 400 depots in the coming four years, resulting in up to 4,000 new jobs.
The company has confirmed that the recruitment will comprise 200 managerial positions each year as well as 170 apprenticeships. To support the new branches, distribution centres will be opened or extended in Warrington, Leeds, Northampton, Coventry, Cardiff and Tilbury. The company attributes the move to rising confidence in the sector and predicts that this will continue with the announcement of the Government's 'help to buy ISA'.
