Description

On 18th of February 2015, H+H Poland, the manufacturer of autoclaved aerated concrete, has announced its plan to shut down four out of ten production plants located in Poland.  According to the company, despite its high market position, the profitability of those units was very low. As a result 200 workers will be made redundant by the end of February 2015. The company has negotiated with the local trade unions the conditions of the restructuring programme. The redundant workers will receive severance pay of up to 7,5 of their monthly wages.

Over the next two years H+H Poland is planning to increase its optimal production capacity. In order to achieve this goal the company will increase the level of investment spending by about PLN 11 mn (EUR 2.63 mn USD 3 mn).
