Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Widex Estonia, located in Tallinn, division of Dannish hearing aid production company, has announced the expansion plan which will involve the recruitment of 150 new production workers by the end of 2015. During 2014 the production at this unit has already increased ten times and the number of workers has quadrupled. The company is looking for engineers, managers, production workers who have experience in electronics industry. Before starting to work for Widex all recruited workers are receiving three-level training. According to the director of the company, Estonia has a good climate for production companies as workers' command of English is considered as good. The company could advantage also from having good flight connections with Denmark.
