European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The mutual insurance company Harmonie Mutuelle has announced a reorganisation, which will result in 350 positions being cut by 2017. The job cuts are part of a restructuring plan for its network of branches and management centres. Some branches will close, and some management centres will merge to reduce costs. The management informed its central works council on 22 January and will negotiate with unions the social consequences of this restructuring process to reach an agreement by June 2015. The aim is to avoid forced dismissals and to negotiate incentives for external mobility, geographical mobility as well as an early retirement scheme. The activities from smaller agencies are being transferred to larger centres within the same company and country. This relocation will impact 61 employees.
