Cable supplier Nexans autoelectric Bulgaria plans to create 600 new jobs at its first plant in Pleven. The first 100 employees will be hired by the end of 2015. The plant in Pleven will produce cable harnesses for leading automobile manufacturers in Europe.
According to InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA), the renowned automobile supplier Nexans autoelectric, based in Southern Germany, had checked out several options in various Eastern European countries last year, and decided in favour of the region of Pleven after an extensive analysis of the location factors. "Pleven was chosen as location of the new plant because of good infrastructure, excellent labour market and the accession of Bulgaria to the European Union", commented the responsible project manager, Michael Kroop, regarding the successful conclusion of the negotiations.
With more than 8,000 employees in 23 locations, Nexans autoelectric develops and produces cabling systems and electromechanical components for automotive and system manufacturers.
