The courier service DHL Express has indicated that it will recruit 200 new employees at its Diegem facility, near Machelen. The jobs will be in operational functions as well as support functions. The growing success of online shopping is creating a growing demand for courier services.
In 2008, DHL moved much of its European hub from Brussels Airport to Leipzig, Germany, but the company is once again increasing its headcount in Belgium where it employs some 4,000 people.
