Description
The Belgian-French producer of PVC-frames for windows and doors has announced a collective redundancy of 104 blue-collar workers and 42 white-collar workers with the closure of its Dentergem facility. Management says that the unit has been operating at only half capacity due to years of economic downturn and reduced demand in its main markets, Benelux and France. As 60% of Belgian production is exported to France, the decision has been made to close the Belgian unit and centralize all activities at Clerval, France.
