European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Insurance company, Admiral, has announced that it is to create 280 new jobs in South Wales. 150 jobs will be created in Cardiff, 100 in Swansea and 30 in Newport. The jobs will be in the call centres, the IT department and in the company's legal section. A statement from Admiral noted that the skills in the local labour markets meant they were very confident of finding suitable local people to fill the roles. The recent announcement follows previous expansion in Newport in 2014. No timescale has been announced for filling the vacancies, though it is being reported that recruitment has started.
