On 25 January 2015, the press reported that meat processing company Nölke will cut 140 jobs at its factory in Waren (Müritz). The company will close the factory at the end of July 2015. Nölke is a meat processing company, headquartered in Versmold (North Rhine-Westphalia).
The factory in Waren is one of the biggest meat factories of Nölke in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In December 2014, the company announced it would sell factories to the Zur-Mühlen-Group (Böklund / Schleswig - Holstein). With an annual turnover of around 21 million euros, Nölke produces approximately 5,200 tons of meat products per year.
