Description
After the bankruptcy of the Dutch mother company in mid-December 2014 and the German division at the end of December, the Belgian division of the clothing chain Mexx has also declared bankruptcy. Mexx has 9 shops and several points of sale in Belgium. Tough price competition on European retail market is cited as the main reason for the group's troubles. The shops remained open but finally closed in early January 2015 with the loss of 180 jobs.
