On 22 December 2014, Jerónimo Martins, a Portugal-based international Group operating in Food Distribution, Food Manufacturing, and Services sectors, owner of food store chains in Poland (Biedronka), has announced that 280 people will find employment at the newly opened distribution centre in Sosnowiec (Poland). The centre will supply 170 stores in the region. The investment was worth over PLN 100 million.
