Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Arla Foods, an international dairy concern with Scandinavian roots, announced plans to create 100 new jobs at its Global Financial Services Centre in Gdańsk by the end of 2015. The company is looking for experienced employees as well as graduates.
On 16 December 2014, the company moved the centre into larger office and announced its expansion. The new centre provides finance, bookkeeping and logistics support to Arla’s plants and other units. The centre provides services in 12 languages, including Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, English, German and Spanish. The centre has been operating in Gdańsk since 2008. Currently, the centre employs over 260 people.
