Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

French jewellery firm Jean Delatour is to cut 140 jobs. According to the sources, the job reduction measure involves store closures (i.e. in Cherbourg, Metz, Portetsur- Garonne, Le Mans) and the restructuring of its headquarters based in Venissieux. As reported, the restructuring plan was approved by the Commercial Court of Lyon in the framework of pre-insolvency proceedings (“procédure de sauvegarde”).
As mentioned, the company refers to a decline in business for several years (- 9.4% in 2013).
