European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Automotive manufacturer TRW has announced plans to create 130 new jobs at its site in Sunderland. The site which will assemble electric motors for steering systems is creating the extra jobs following success in research and development. The factory will be extended in order to add these new jobs to the 200 already at the company; support has been provided by the Regional Growth Fund of £1.95 million to part fund the extension. The company is investing £4.6 million of its own into the project. Recruitment for the new positions is expected to begin in the second half of 2015.
