European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Polish regional passenger train operator Przewozy Regionalne (PR) announced a new restructuring programme affecting about 760 jobs (8% of workforce) by the end of 2014. The jobs will be cut via voluntary departures. The programme is a part of larger restructuring programme aiming at increasing financial effectiveness; the company explained that the workforce reduction is necessary so that PR can become a competitive market player.
