Description
Arvato, a German repair service provider for mobile phones, is to cut around 100 jobs in Herzebrock-Clarholz. Taiwanese HTC, the company’s biggest costumer, is going to change to another firm as of the end of 2014 and therefore cancelled the contract with Arvato.
Due to the fact that it is difficult to find other big customers – Apple and Samsung already use other repair services – Arvato has to cut 100 of the current 400 jobs in its repairing department.
Arvato belongs to Bertelsmann and employs around 700 people in total. It also delivers mobile phones to telecommunication companies and provides software and training material.
