Paper manufacturer Canson is to cut 58 jobs at its site in Annonay (Ardèche). As reported, the plant will loose over 20pc of its workforce. Employees have voted a one day strike on 13 October to denounce the decision. Before the summer, the management expected to negotiate a collective agreement to maintain employment levels with an increase of the working time from 35 to 39 hours a week with no financial compensation. But 92pc of the employees refused this proposal.
