Description

Kyocera Solar Europe, a supplier of solar energy panels, is to cut  the vast majority of its 275 staff. The production of solar energy components is in decline across the European continent. The situation is critical for the Japanese firm - which began operations in Kadan in 2005 - due to the supply pressure from overseas. The employer intends to provide assistance to redundant workers in searching for a new job. The workers will be given a chance to participate in the European project “Restart” organized by Employment Office. The region has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country (11,2% at the end of July 2014).
