Description
Parker Hannifin, a global manufacturer of components for hydraulic and pneumatic systems, is to employ another 70 people at its Chomutov site in spring 2015. Since the beginning of 2014, the company has already created 180 new jobs as a result of gradually moving its production from several European countries (Austria, Finland, Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland).
According to the company´s director, the firm is facing a shortage of quality and process engineers and other specialists. The Czech market is small and there is an unwillingness to move for work.
In the next three years, the company plans to double the turnover of the Chomutov plant and to invest CZK 20 million.
Parker Hannifin employs approximately 57,500 people in 50 countries around the world.
