Description

Croatian telecoms operator T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT) is to cut up to 160 jobs by the end of October 2014. As announced, in the framework of a reorganisation process initiated in the beginning of the year, T-HT identified surplus employees and intends to cancel the labour contracts for about 160 workers during September and October 2014. 

As reported, severance payment determined by the provisions of the Collective Agreement will be provided to the affected staff, as well as the option to enter a selection process for future vacancies mostly in the Contact Center.

According to the sources, the job reduction measure is aiming at operational efficiency as a response to the continued deterioration of the Croatian telecommunications market and the long-term economic crisis.
