Description
Printing press Süddeutsche Societäts-Druckerei is going to be shut down by the end of the year which will make 100 jobs redundant. The closure is mainly due to the bankruptcy of local Munich newspaper Abendzeitung.
Süddeutsche Societäts-Druckerei belongs to Frankfurter Societäts-Medien which forms part of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) foundation. FAZ and media company Axel Springer are also among the costumers but printing the Abendzeitung was the main task of the printing press.
