Description

A Welsh electrical company Trojan Electronics will create 138 new jobs in Swansea. The company manufactures circuit boards, operates a warranty repair service for major retailers and runs internet sales for a number of large UK retailers including Tesco, Argos and Boots. First established in 2002 with six staff, the company has expanded rapidly. Trojan currently has 150 employees based in Garngoch and Swansea Vale.

The creation of the new jobs will see the size of its workforce almost double and see all of their staff located in one location. The expansion of the business will see the company move into a previously vacant building in Jersey Marine. The Welsh Government has provided £2.125 million in financial support for refurbishment and fitting out of the new headquarters and factory. The company will also invest £1 million in new plant and equipment at the new location. The move to the new location is due to be completed by the first quarter of 2015.
