European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
American software producer Microsoft will reduce its workforce in Finland by 1,050 employees. Worldwide Microsoft will reduce its workforce with 18,000 job cuts of which 12,500 refer to former Nokia employees that were transferred when Microsoft bought Nokia.
Out of the 1,050 announced job cuts, 600 jobs will be lost at the Microsoft site in Oulu.
There is currently no information on the timeline of the restructuring.
