Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Over 200 new jobs will be created over the next two years as the first motorway service stations are planned for Northern Ireland. Four service stations will be opened, with each needing 50-60 staff including positions for managers and sales staff. The service stations are being opened by Irish company Petrogas global and will trade under Petrogas' Applegreen brand. Petrogas currently operates twelve service stations in the Republic of Ireland.
The first service station will be ready by March 2015 between junctions 4 and 5 of the M2 near Templepatrick. Petrogas has said that the Northern Ireland stations will be smaller than their counterparts in the south. The company has also stated that it is currently looking for further sites to develop.
